We are a unique team of individuals dedicated to our own holistic growth as well as to that of our clients. Larry Wells founded Future Life Now after experiencing the transformative power of Neuro-Linguistic Programming in his own life and in the lives of his parishioners. (Yes, he was previously a minister.) The team doubled in 1999 when Cynthia Allen joined. Due to her own struggle with pain, Cynthia discovered and eventually trained in the Feldenkrais Method. She experienced “miracles” that motivate her to this day to help others find freedom from pain and better function.
Larry and Cynthia, husband and wife by the way, have co-owned Future Life Now for many moons now. A few years ago, they laid out a plan for growth, and in 2012, opened a new location that was built specifically with their core values in mind. This new vibrant, creative holistic healing center allowed expansion with other professionals in acupuncture, massage therapy, Reiki, personal training and other modalities.

Cynthia Allen, GCFP, STMI
Feldenkrais Practitioner – Partner
Cynthia has been working in holistic practices, health care management and organizational consulting for over 25 years. In 2001, she became a Certified Feldenkrais® practitioner and, more recently, a Senior Trainer in Movement Intelligence. By day, she helps children and adults find easier ways to navigate life challenges and thrive. By night, she is dreaming up new options for how people can become more fully human through awareness, curiosity, elegance and action. Admittedly, she is more than a little obsessed with the field of somatic education and the difference it can make in the world.
Cynthia also offers workshops throughout the United States and has taught as adjunct faculty at Xavier University and collaborated with Drake Hospital Rehabilitation’s Physical Therapy department and Integrative Learning Center of Mid America. She has provided programming for many hospitals, medical practices, and corporations including Procter and Gamble.
Larry Wells, M.Div, M.S.W.
NLP Master Practitioner – Partner
Larry’s journey has a theme. When he was in elementary school he and his best friend were given extra math problems to solve, just for the sheer joy of doing math. But Larry noticed most others found math to be a chore. This led him down the path of helping others discover how to make math easier and fun-filled. After a few years of teaching math, he was encouraged to pursue Christian ministry where he could assist others to live lives filled with meaning and success. As a minister, he noticed the tremendous need for better approaches for improving mental and physical health and wellness. This led him to become a Master Practitioner in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). After leaving ministry, he moved from Missouri to Cincinnati and founded Future Life Now. He went back to school for a master’s degree in social work and served as a substance abuse counselor and then in organizational development.
Larry has worked to help people successfully navigate issues such as cancer, infertility, organ transplant, chronic pain, PTSD, and surgery.
Arwa Atwan, L.Ac
Arwa is an Ohio licensed acupuncturist and a national board certified NCCAOM (National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine) practitioner. She graduated from the American Institute of Alternative Medicine in Columbus, Ohio. She earned a masters level certificate in acupuncture and also holds a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering.
Arwa was always drawn to healing. Even as a young girl, Arwa enjoyed making restorative herbal drinks and teas.
A resident of Cincinnati for over 16 years, Arwa has two sons, loves to cook and create new recipes, hang out with friends, walk in parks, listen to music, take pictures, appreciate each moment and create good memories. She experiences fulfillment in assisting individuals on their paths to wellness, and is continually amazed by the transformations that can occur with a few little needles.
Terry Pharo, LMT
Licensed Massage Therapist
Terry’s childhood was filled with hints of what was to come for her. Her own life began in the mid-fifties with a traumatic birth: a high forceps delivery which deformed her skull. Though the pediatrician told her mom not to worry, Mrs. Pharo was concerned and took Terry to Dr. Fulford, now a well-known cranial osteopath, for gentle sessions to readjust her cranium and internal rhythms. This non-traditional approach would be used again and again in her family, including by her father for a war-related injury.
These early experiences piqued Terry’s interest in the body’s capacity to self-correct. She has trained in many modalities including Swedish massage, craniosacral therapy, neuro-muscular therapy, lymphatic drainage, Reiki, geriatric massage, Lomi Lomi Hawaiian massage, and Bones for Life.
Peter G. Dorsa, MSPT
Physical Therapy ~ Visceral Manipulation
Peter was born and raised in Forest Park, Ohio, but a family vacation out west led him to move to Laramie Wyoming for the Wild Life and Fisheries Management program. He moved onto working as a carpenter and completing his Bachelors in Zoology in 1980. Seattle, Washington called next and there he worked as a carpenter with a good lifestyle centered around climbing, running and cycling.
One evening leaving a co-op Peter noticed a post on the bulletin board for a 9 month certification in Shiatsu. In 1986, he became a licensed massage practitioner.
His passion for sports and over time a few injuries spurred his interest in a career in physical therapy. Needing to be in a degreed program for PT school, he went to the University of Oregon to earn a Masters of Science in Biomechanics and Exercise Physiology in 1991. He went on to pursue and complete his Masters in Physical Therapy at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, in Denver in 1994.
Reiki Practitioner ~ Teacher
In 1972 at age fourteen, Bruce became fascinated with Zen and the philosophy of Oriental medicine after his brother Rob visited China and Japan to study martial arts. Through conversation, he developed a connection to Eastern philosophy that has remained a lifelong interest.
Bruce was introduced to Reiki in Columbus, Ohio, in 1989, but he did not have the opportunity to pursue it himself until 1993, with local Reiki teacher, Ron Eiber. He decided to leave his corporate career to pursue the full-time practice of Reiki after a personal healing experience during Reiki training.
Bruce completed Teacher training in Usui/Tibetan Reiki with Jeffery Martin in 1993-94, and levels one through four of Traditional Japanese Reiki with internationally known teacher, Dave King in 1997-98. Dave King, suggested further study of Five Element and energy meridian theory in order to deepen the understanding and practice of Reiki.
By 2008, through the integration of this information from practice and colleague collaboration, he developed a Reiki assessment and practice method which he termed Five Element Reiki.

At Future Life Now, Carol specializes in middle age to older adults. She offers traditional counseling that primarily involves listening to the concerns of each person and then working together to explore the internal and external issues that have caused conflicts, sadness, and happiness in life. Together, Carol and the client look at the lessons learned through past decisions and actions and work toward solutions that involve making individual changes which contribute to a more satisfying and meaningful life.
But Carol began her career in 1975 as a therapist for children who lived in the West End and Over the Rhine. She met the children for Play Therapy in their homes, in their schools, or, sometimes in the park.
She moved on to the Hamilton County Mental Health System working with adults and children. The following eight years were exciting times because of the broad range of clients allowing for a time of continuous learning. Most of the counseling was insight oriented with some practical behavioral work especially with children, and, occasionally some dream work with adults.
Carol then joined Northern Kentucky University to be a part of a Federal Grant Program that was designed to offer educational counseling to help parents and adolescents prepare for college. In 2003 she returned to working with adults in the public and private mental health system. Through all these years, Carol enjoyed being a catalyst in encouraging clients to learn more about themselves and the ways they interacted with others.

She is available to work on a sliding fee schedule.

Rachel’s lifelong journey towards healing has become her vocation and serves as an inspiration in working with others towards finding their own pathway to wholeness.
She completed her training in Integrative Kabbalistic Healing and Impersonal Movement with Jason Shulman at A Society of Souls. Rachel is also certified as a Life and Wellness coach and earned a BS in social psychology from the University of Cincinnati.
