Hello from Canada! My name is Kristin and I’m a 48 year old life long learner. My brain is happiest when I learn new things! My mother suggested I look into Feldenkrais after trying many modalities were not helping the numbing sensation in my arms when I sleep. Initially, Feldenkrais was about pain management but now I’m learning it’s so much more.

My superpower is seeing the big picture!

    Warmly,

    Kristin

Hi! I’m Diana. I currently live in Cincinnati, but we are planning a move to Wilmington, Delaware – most likely in the spring. Excited that I’ll be able to take Cynthia (and all of you) with me.

I deal with chronic pain but work hard to keep it in control. I did the Happy Feet class with Cynthia back in 2014. I find Feldenkrais magical and fascinating and I’m looking forward to incorporating more of it in my life.

I’ll try to bring enthusiasm and my otter curiosity to the classes. I pride myself with being supportive of others and I will cheer everyone on their journey.

Kathy White, I lived in Knoxville Tennessee (in Maplehurst) from 2011-2018, attended UT,
worked for TVA as an archaeologist and Pellissippi as a geology instructor.
I loved living in Knoxville! I sure miss it–the Farmer’s Markets
on the Square, all the events around town, and shows at the Bijou.
But I am closer to my family here in Jeffersonville, Indiana now. I have lived in Cincinnati too
(2007-2009 to attend UC, and for 8 months Oct 2018-May 2019 to work for MSD).

    Have a great week, everyone!

    Joanne 🙂

My name is Anna. I am totally new to Feldenkrais. I have hear of it and figured I got this invite to join because the universe meant for me to be here. I am an RN with a desk job so I would love to care for my body in a better way. I practice yoga and am a massage therapist in the evenings after my day job. I am also a health coach for women with fibromyalgia/anxiety. I have a feeling that this course will not on,y help my body, but will also be useful in helping my clients as well.

Hello, George Hansert here from Indiana. I am a brand new member to YLB, But I’ve been following Futurelifenow website for a while.I am semi retired and in good health from living an active lifestyle. I have taken some Bones for life classes from one of Cynthia’s former students with some great results. I am looking forward to what new knowledge, health, and movement experiences YLB Will bring.

    Aloha.
Just joined last week-graduated from a Feldenkrais Program years ago and though its a an important part of the way I look at movement as a Physical Therapist -I haven’t taught the movement classes in many years. Now that I am semi-retiring from PT I wanted to explore perhaps teaching again and thought this program would be helpful. I also am looking for motivation to get on the floor and improve my own movement ability and ease. And if I’m doing it …Just perhaps my wife might join me at times. We’ll see- but am looking forward to tomorrow. James Palmer

    Hello everyone, from Berlin:)
Having started 80ties/90ties of 20th century as visual artist and then writing (literature, cultural studies, Psychoanalysis with interest in creativity, relational trauma, and safe attachment topics), survived a severe cancer in my late 30ties, training back my lost voice due to defected voice membranes against all prognostics, leftover with ME/CFS and due to immobility also frozen shoulders(all two;/), and then seeking a way to re-enter my body despite the ME-typical „Post exertion malaise“ and heavy insomnia, I am now in my 3rd year of Feldenkrais – shoulders free, sleep improved, voice at ease, and walks possible – even carrying again bags of food, and 1st time ever, able of throwing things far away (not just uncool 2 meters;) as of catching objects thrown. ME is still much with me, unlikely to leave, but I hope to begin teaching FK classes 1-2/ week, and would love to give FI, despite a slight muscular weakness in my arms since childhood – I just love the deep state of listening hand and giving impulses for new possibilities of self-organization:)… I hope for regular inspiration to go the mat and open up my bodies capacities even more.
…Hm, what is my otter-power? Maybe, hope, and not giving up, and using all that is for my material, to work with.:))))

Hello, This is Pat. I am a native Cincinnati massage therapist. I am familiar with this process, studied Bones For Life through Vitality and had a few classes with Cynthia and Larry. Moving my body is what makes me happiest- hiking, biking, dancing, kayaking and my newest interest is pickle ball! I love the idea of less is more which is contrary to my nature. I believe learning more through this course will keep me working and playing for many more years to come. My power is my optimistic attitude. Great to be part of this community!

    Hi,
I have just joined YLB, I am not new to Feldenkrais method but I have never taken long term course and I am very much looking forward to it. My background is in movement, aikido, qigong, massage therapy, eco building, life in nature and the latest producer of sensory swings for child development. Also last few years suffering from various injuries and I guess that is probably the biggest reason why I am here, but also the broaden my understanding of feldenkrais and ways to rearrange neural programs that we are downloading for better or worse.

Also I am from Serbia, south east europe, living in the Balkan mountains.

Hi! My name is Trina. I live in Tasmania, [southeast of Australia]. With the 16hour time difference, I won’t be present at many live sessions. I am 74, in reasonable health, with inevitable aches & pains as I age. I graduated from a Feldenkrais training in Brisbane in 1994. There are no other practitioners locally so I hope that participation here will enable me to get back into regular sessions. I look forward to getting to know the group.
