It’s a joy to have you Robin. Thanks so much for your participation in the LIVE classes. It is valued. Here’s to Otter power of stubbornness.
November 19, 2019 at 7:13 pm #4270cynthia allenKeymasterThanks Jill. What a journey and background! Of course I do think it all comes back to Feldenkrais which really means it comes back to way we were designed to learn. Welcome.
November 19, 2019 at 7:15 pm #4272cynthia allenKeymasterKaty – curiosity is a super otter power! I appreciate your explorations for health. I am so glad you are mostly pain free and you have a rich body of work to offer others. Better sleep–I just interviewed a member of YLB who said one the main benefits for him has been better sleep. So I am rooting for you.
November 19, 2019 at 7:17 pm #4273cynthia allenKeymasterHi Libby. Thanks for your super power. Regular practice is a challenge for most of us so being a group helps. Glad for you love of BFL and Feldenkrais.

November 19, 2019 at 8:06 pm #4284James PalmerParticipantFolks,
Recent joiner to the course. I live in Honolulu, Hawaii/am a graduate of a Feldenkrais training program many years ago. Am semi-retired as a physical therapist and am wanting to become more active in the Feldenkrais work-both for my own movement improvement as well as a spark to get back into teaching movement classes. Looking forward to the program. James PalmerNovember 20, 2019 at 10:13 am #4301Jean MurphyParticipantHi. I am Jean Murphy, widow, retired, living in Reston, VA, which is a suburb of Washington, DC. I have been taking one Feldenkrais lesson a week with a wonderful local teacher for about a year and it has helped me a lot. I am hoping this experience will deepen my practice and provide me with lessons I can do at home. When I am in class, I always think I will remember the movements we did, but the next day I can’t seem to recall them with any precision. I also need a little motivation to get the work done at home!
I wonder if anyone can help me figure out how to upload a head shot. Actually, I can upload it, but the little box that shows up over the pix includes only a small portion of my face. I have tried to downsize the original but that doesn’t seem to work. Any suggestions?
I look forward to chatting with you all.November 20, 2019 at 4:15 pm #4303Rivkah CohenParticipantI am a Feldenkrais practitioner since 2011, and I am an occupational therapist since 1968. I currently teach two adult
groups a week, one on Tuesday, one on Wednesday, and I see kiddos and adults privately. I am the curious otter power, so much so that my conversation is often sprinkled with the words,”I’m not disagreeing, I’m just curious.” I joined the YLB because I live in a Feldenkrais
desert…halfway between Dallas and Shreveport,LA. There is a wonderful practitioner in Dallas, but it is over 100 miles and that doesnt’ work too well. I am new to on-line continuing classes, so I’m on an IT learning curve. I’m better at raising my hand and blurting than typing in or hitting an icon. Ha. See ya all on the line. RNovember 20, 2019 at 7:57 pm #4306Rita RoarkParticipantHello, I’ Rita. I live in Winfield, Kansas. I am new to YLB. I’ve tried to use YouTube videos for about five years to learn about Feldenkrais practice. I’m excited to have this opportunity to learn from Cynthia and Larry in a connected way. I do have some physical issues that I am eager to improve, hip and lower back; however, I want to fully experience a practice and my body – to not just be a sore hip and a sore back.
November 20, 2019 at 10:49 pm #4308Jane LaPointeParticipantJane LaPointe – living back in my home town of Winchendon MA. New to YLB but not to Feldenkrais. Was a guinea pig during the first Boston training back in the 1990’s for students – one of those was my sister, June. It’s also where I met Barry Levine and had some amazing sessions with him when I lived in the Boston area. I’ve also been to Bones for Life workshops with Ruthy Alon. I’m pretty much retired but do take on an occasional consulting assignment along with a few interesting volunteer jobs in my community — keeps me and my mind engaged and moving. Have always been pretty fortunate, health-wise in finding good practitioners and treatments as needed. Have always been very active and independent – would like to stay that way — so want to keep the osteoarthritis at bay and continue the habit of moving and doing things I enjoy.
