Ready to stand tall with ease, find power in your walk, ease those creaky knees and enjoy movement again? This class series will follow the successful research protocol that was used in the newly published research in Functional Neurology, Rehabilitation, Ergonomics. “Biological optimism” is a likely outcome from this class and who doesn’t want to feel more confident about their body and movement from the inside out.
This movement program can be used to improve a highly active man who loves biking and is training for a 50-mile walk AND a woman who due to polio is unable to get up and down easily from a chair or climb stairs. With two very different needs, this class can help both people improve in balance, vitality, posture and function.
Instructor: Cynthia Allen, Feldenkrais Practitioner and Senior Trainer in Movement Intelligence. Cynthia was also a principal researcher in the referenced study. You will be exploring a proven method with a skilled teacher and trainer in the Bones for Life approach.
Bring a mat or blanket and a towel. Please be prepared to remove your shoes unless you need to keep them on for medical reasons. If you cannot get up and down from the floor with support and need a raised surface, please contact us ahead of time so we can plan together to meet your needs.
