Squatting: Your Hips, Knees and Ankles | Mondays | February 4 to March 11 | 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.

An essential function is some ability to squat. And frankly, if we weren’t living with modern toilets, it would be pretty essential to be able to do a full squat. Whether you can squat a little (like getting up and down from a chair) or a lot (all the way to the ground with flat feet) this series will reconnect your back, hips, knees and ankles in a powerful way that will benefit all of daily living. Each night we will so a Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement lesson and a Bones for Life lesson.

Instructor: Cynthia Allen, Feldenkrais Practitioner and Senior Trainer in Movement Intelligence. Cynthia was also a principal researcher in the referenced study. You will be exploring a proven method with a skilled teacher and trainer in the Bones for Life approach.
Bring a mat or blanket and a towel. Please be prepared to remove your shoes unless you need to keep them on for medical reasons. If you cannot get up and down from the floor with support and need a raised surface, please contact us ahead of time so we can plan together to meet your needs.
Class minimums and maximums have been established. Please register early to insure your place in the class.
